Yesterday and today, I was meant to be in Scotland for a wonderful exhibition of perpetual calendar watches.....vintage and modern. Regrettably, and for only the 2nd time in my life, i suffered food poisoining and have been totally wiped out. I missed an ...

.....the first time was after i took my Finals exams and was partying in Spain. French onion soup did for me...nearly killed me. Then a long gap until second time....chicken curry this time.

Be careful with vintage Patek as well as chicken curry. Even both are great. Best, Kari

.....for 3 decades now I have never been able to drink french onion soup. I will miss chicken curry if the same "fear" occurs.

but when it does strike, it is amazing how helpless it renders one. My worst attack was 20 years ago and a dentist who was doing a rare filling on my teeth 'accidentally' dropped the drill in my mouth cutting the area where my tongue laid. It was a bloodb... 

......i have stayed fairly close to the necessary locations in my house, and am on the mend now....but that sounds truly horrifying.

I have a permanent phobia of dentists, even the pretty ones!

they joy of admiring a piece on the wrist being one and being part of a likeminded community another. Your 570 is amazing in a lot of ways. Historical and an important piece in Patek history. Hope you get better soon and really sorry to hear you missed th...

Looks like you were under the weather in more ways than one! Scottish weather somewhat pleasant in contrast.

Those watches are quite rare, especially since we are more used to seeing modern references. The way you positively share and present them, without comparing and ranking with others or to the modern era, is very pleasant. I must say that I'm also looking ... 

......i am trying very hard to maintain a bias towards not comparing. We have discussed so many times how tastes and approach can noty only change over time but within ourselves too. So yes, when I see a post making a comparison, I am always quite careful... 

Although, it couldn't have been much of a party if the fish sticks got the best of you. Anyway, and although I've seen other posts of this watch by you, seeing it again and when you're feeling lousy, it tells me just how special you find it. Makes me wann... 

.....the 570G is one that i want you to try on. I feel this may need to happen......
