I started to use my new Vertu today. During the day I tried to learn how to take photos with that and played at the same time with my iPhone 6. These are the best shots I could take today: iPhone 6: Vertu: Which one you like more or is there a difference?...  

The Vertu picture looks better as far as I can judge.

you need to take both shots with the same light and from the same distance.

Vertu camera is not easy to use. It has the same adjustments as a normal camera including white balance, etc. Now I took the picture with factory settings. I'll compare these two later when I really learn to use the camera of Vertu. But naturally my sole ... 

The Vertu seems to take a much sharper picture and this is based not just on the watch but the pigmentation, colour and textureof your skin if you don't mind my saying. I never thought Vertu phones were that amazing but your shots have proved otherwise. W... 

with one Vertu one can buy 7 iPhones. However, I expect Vertu to last much longer. Best, Kari

.....the WB on the virtu is much colder....more blue. That is altering the feel of the shot. The Virtu has the verdict on clarity, but its not by a million miles. I also think that the autofocus on the iPhone can be tricky. Sometimes it just gets it wrong...

how you got such a clear and close-up shot with your iPhone 5. Did you shoot and then crop? Took a few shots with mine and it's not nearly as good as your shot. Any suggestions? Aloha, Bob

perhaps in yours the phone was too close to the watch ? In normal circumstances all iPhone 6 photos should be really sharp. ...

I used to love my Vertu... and then they switched to Android. So it comes down to which OS and hardware you like better. The photos to me are very very close. Besides, the upcoming iPhone might be much better.

For me, it was too much. And the security is severely compromised. But, I am old school, still holding onto my BlackBerry as a primary phone.

The iPhone shot is out of focus, it's point of focus appears to be the left lug, and the dial itself is marginally out of focus. The Vertu is taken from a greater distance and is in focus so appears to be a better shot - but that's it it's a better shot, ...

As I am sure you know megapixels are nearly irrelevant now. iPhone 6 has an older image sensor but the 6s and SE have amazing ones. Vertu I believe is less than the 6 but I don\'t recall for sure. But you took a good picture irrespective!

How easy/difficult was it to replace the stainless steel bracelet with the leather band? Is that a Patek leather band? Thanks.

Replacing was semi-difficult but any Patek AD can help you with removing the bracelet. The trick is to order the right type of strap. Best, Kari

that you should know there is a groove in the case part between the lugs that will show up after the bracelet is removed. Thus you'll have to adapt the strap if you don't want to see it. Something you have to check whether it is ok or not for you. Cheers,...

My problem with 5960 is that I like it in steel, I like the P with grey dial, blue dial, black dial... That's a very dangerous way of thinking. Best, Kari

All the platinum versions,But the SS is something different,The dial adds a sporty character to the watch much more than the platinum versions,Makes it a very nice daily wearer,And the value can\'t be ignored. On the other hand the platinum heft.....You k... 

Or steel + two platinum versions - or steel plus three platinum versions... Seriously: I have more than one or two Patek but 5960 is very hard to beat as a daily watch. It has everything! Best, Kari

If you wish to go for the 5960/1A because you know you can adjust a strap, I just wanted to underline the fact that you will have to work the customed strap in order it hides this groove between the lugs (Jester posted pictures in the past). As people com... 

Got the opportunity to check all the details. The dial is very nice with the applied chronograph counter,The strap as well is matching the watch as if it\'s meant to I have to add that the slot between the lugs will not be hidden by any kind of strap 100... 

If I were to purchase a 5960/1A, that's what I would do (found for instance on some UN watches): As for the 5960P Grey, you saw it way before me but I see that we had the same splendid experience! Yes indeed, I think that we all have the same issue, whate...  

But how would you advice me: You know that I love my 5960A. I will also pick up from Patek in May 5960P-016 (black). That's fantastic! But now I have started to think that having two without the original grey dial would be hard... Any ideas? Best, Kari

It is always tempting, though we might be wondering if another watch will not come on top of such a project in a way to diversify the collection. I thought about how cool would be to get for instance the four 5070 or the 5110 etc... I'm sure people may li...

That's also what I experienced with my own 5712. I also have several references I think often about and I know I must pace myself and give some more time in order to check which one is good and which one is just a short time "crush". What's nice about the... 

We went to the reception of the Polish Embassy nicely dressed. I wore my 5550P and Tarja her Nautilus - she has forgotten other watches. The crazy thing was that those 9 hours I wore 5550P, I enjoyed it a lot. At the same time I was missing my 5960... Aft... 

and is a very pleasant feeling to know this watch gives us what we are looking for when dealing with watches. Aside of the dark blue strap for the 5960P, I also think a dark grey (and even light grey one) would look great and much different from the usual...

the leather is black with small holes due to the ventilation. In BMW dark red - not stylish... Ferrari seats I have not seen yet because the car is rolling out from production only in the end of next week. So no, not from the seats. But seat belts might b... 

We never know when watches are in the deal. Some combinations are very tempting but then you wonder is you'll get fed up and if it is not too much. A very different strap makes a very different watch. Stepping out of the road is quite hard indeed. But eve... 

Typically I order black, navy blue, brown and dark grey. But sometimes I play with stitching. However, it's a long way before I will have a Patek MR in pink strap. Best, Kari
