One or two mistakes on the road don't make a ship sink. There are many beautiful and interesting pieces from the past, and from the present collections. It is not because one doesn't like today's anniversary bold move that everything falls apart.
I imagine, as some of our friends said here on the forum, that it is about high expectations as they value the brand very much.
But traditional watchmaking and Patek Philippe have very conservative clients to talk to. And that's why reactions are excessive today.
A last thing that surprised me quite much today: people talk about watches but today seem to focus on investment or value keeping too much and not for the watches itself. Patek si keeping value (as Rolex does) much better than other brands already. But focusing on value instead of how the watch appeals to us is also another mistake on the buyer's side.
Thanks for the comment Tahoeblue.
