I have to confess...
I'm surprised, but maybe shouldn't be, at how well the 5196P performs in this comparison. They are very different watches in so many ways, of course. But the 5196P is really special (as is the Langematik Anniversary, but who believes otherwise?). It's like when a clear underdog performs extremely well vs. an established player. We come away with new appreciation and admiration for the underdog.

The breguet numerals alone on the 5196 beat just about any other time-only watch.

I remember it like yesterday, doing this same head to head comparison. I frankly thought the 5196 was going to roll, as its so close to being the perfect dial (should the subseconds be dropped down...) But its like that one imperfection opens the door lit...
