Patek Philippe

To be honest, the 5960 has never caught my attention on pictures... Because of you Kari and generally all 5960 owners, I decided to try this piece on... So I did so this morning in Geneva... And OMG, this watch is really cool And it's certainly a collecto...  

This is really cool Patek! I love the material choice (steel!), the contrast in colors and the complications!

I have a few days of thinking...

I tried it on in London last week and I loved it, bold, very unique and sporty, definite collector. Very comfortable and superb legibility. Go get it !

I hated it when it fitrst came out...... but as time has passed, it has grown on me. Steel chrono from Patek......you just don't see many of those...so in that sense, it has an important place. The watch itself is colourful, but actually...as Kari and JC ... 

But then...by definition....there can typically only be one on an immediate list.

And as I love to wear my rubber strapped Aquanaut everyday (when I train) I won\'t wear the 5960 in this same occasion. Well I\'m thinking of keeping the steel strap because of this unique look, and the old style steel chronographs "tribute". My mind is a... 

and with the right outfit it was really well looking (at least to me). However, the 5960 is a fantastic reference, in any material combination. This one is very different but has this sporty-racing look I like a lot and that looks nice with a touch of ele... 

And as usual, they offered me the strap! A nice present

even in Dubai last Nov, somehow this model doesn't speak to many die-hard PP fans, which I think was due to the bracelet, too blingy. Anyhow, steel Patek is always interesting, plus I like the white dial, black borders and red hands. Let you in for a news... 

The Paris salon had it on display since forever. Maybe they try to create artificial waiting time?

It used to be when a PP model is discontinued, it becomes hot and sort after, but look at this white dial 5170G. It is discontinued 2016 but it's everywhere, negotiable. For this 5960/1A, shouldn't be technical since it's similar to earlier 5960P but sorr... 

a strap will be nicer but even the bracelet looks nice to me I Guess it will be good to switch between bracelet and strap depending on mood and season Cheers Robin

Hopefully I do not lose any credibility by saying this. I know it is not exactly the same, but it certainly bears a strong resemblance in my eye.

Will try to grill the SA. For me from the moment it was released it has been a great watch! I like everything about it: the case, the color, the bracelet; all except one thing - I find no use for chronographs in general; thus this watch is not high on my ... 

or check how fast you can piss of your wife. My record is around 20 secs. From smile to burning her fuse. Chrono is a very useful tool. Best Kari

This might be helpful for cooking! Way better than setting the timer on the oven or smartphone. OMG, revelation!

And I\'m pretty sure too it will soon be discontinued. As the 5905p came to replace the 5960, and because they already discontinued the 5960s on platinum, and because it is not a great commercial success... For all these reasons, 5960/1a owners in 10 year... 

Now I love it - 5960A is the greatest daily beater I can imagine. But if they decide to make the Anniversary Nautilus, blue dial, 120 m WR... then I do not know. Best Kari

certainly great combinations to discover for a watch, and for this 5960A in particular. The only difficult thing will be to get a configuration where the strap end will come close to the case (between the lug) and hide the gouge a little.

I really reconsidered the rubber strap option and think I will keep the steel for it\'s uniqueness , genuineness and fun

this is certainly something in the scope. I still have mixed feelings about it: at the beginning, I diddn't really like it but after wearing it with a nice shirt and pullover (at least that I find nice :p) it changed completely my view. I'm not going to g...

Especially when I saw Kari\'s watch in metal,I have just paid for my stainless steel 5712 and should pick it up soon,I am planning for this to be my next watch hopefully. Best, Ahmed

I myself was heavily influenced by the good Dr Kari that I couldn\'t resist one myself. And a strap definitely changes the look and feel of the watch.
