I love the 5167R, and it is one of the options I'm considering for my next acquisition
I love the 5167 for many reasons, and I've actually owned the 5167A twice in the past. It was my first Patek, so it has a special place in my heart.
The R version was never in my radar, but every time I've tried it on, I realized how beautiful it is, and how nicely the extra weight feels on the wrist.
It was only very recently, during a visit to the Patek Salon in Geneva, when I decided that I definitely want one.
With the crazy watch market nowadays, I don't know if I'll be able to acquire one, but I'll definitely try š¤š»

For me, it has a little more than just āits charmā: the warm tones make it really gorgeous. And among vintage reference, I would choose the 5060SJ-001. Just my taste, of course. ...

It is indeed gorgeous in the metal
But I have a complaint though, which applies to most Patek RG watches: the YG rotor doesn't match, and it looks to me like a sort of lazy cheap compromise... nothing can be perfect I guess š

Iāve never paid attention to this detail as I donāt own any watch with a gold central rotor. And the micro rotor of my Laurent Ferrier seems to match the pink gold caseā¦ ...

Some brands do match the rotor and the case, or at least do it in a way that it looks nice. That's what I would expect at this level. Patek though doesn't do it today. It has introduced some white rotors recently, but most rotors are yellow gold. And to m...
