A watch that is finally becoming recognized as one of the greats... in my opinion of course... here is mine saying hello: ...  

But felt like overkill as 5980/1A was always winning the wristbattle...

...but doesn’t merit the hype. The subdial and date implementation are both inelegant. As an investment I’d be very happy if I bought one five years ago. Buying one today might be risky...but if you love it?

What a great shot, my friend !! I had the 5980 some years ago - and like everybody, I deeply regret selling it - but today it is very hard to decide for me, which Nautilus is the real King !!!! 5990 is still my favorite, but very close behind the 5980 ! O...  

But I now have the 5990 and much prefer it. Having both would have been perfect though.

All the other nautilusses should bow for King 5980! 😉😄😄

Btw, did you buy the 5960P instead of the 5980?

don't think the movement should be the breaking factor... 240 is a solid workhorse... even though I do think a watch like the celestial perhaps would be better suited with a pretty manual movement...
