It seems to solve most of the issues you are raising: not too large, no potholes, 24h indicator. I personally like it, in particular in the versions without numerals.
numerals look outsized.. and with indices, it’s better but maybe the bezels too thick or perhaps the pushers to the left and the crown guard to the right makes the round watch look oval.. can’t put my finger on it
For me, in many ways the most appealing is the supremely practical and beautiful (in person), 5326G annual calendar travel time watch. Also, very practical and highly complex is the 5990 1/A travel time with fly back chronograph. Best, Patekova
