...a Patek NA representative, and asked that very same question. What he told me was that as far as the models go for 2008 the 5296G 001 is not a discontinued model. He mentioned that it is becoming harder to find, but that there was definitely no word from Geneva that the model will be discontinued. I was recently looking to purchase this model and found that it is readily available in many AD. So as of now no one can lay claim to the fact that they know this model will be discontinued.

My AD called PP, spoke with the right party, and confirmed that the 5296 is no more. My AD is the second largest PP dealer in the US, and has always given me accurate advice, and now, I have no reason to doubt. BB The Goal is Soul
