There was this documentary which I saw on You-Tube. Having every watch vacuum packed is like the last step of their QC chain.
That gave me the "mint new pieces must come vacuum sealed" impression.
Change the question a bit.
Would a buyer buying a brand new piece from an AD doubt the "mint-ness" of a Patek if it was presented to him without the vacuum packing ? Should he accept it without the vacuum packing/ seal ?

I always thought that mint Patek leave Switzerland vacuum packed. Bought my first pre-owned, so never had the chance to break the seal/open the vacuum pack. But I thought it is a granted thing to have when buying new. Isn't it not ? So why is it an Asian ...

but Europeans are not that crazy about it. There haven´t been (a lot of) plastic packed watches in stock at regular ADs, before the Asians became imortant customers over here ... ;-)

Every other piece on display is unsealed, unwrapped, and available for inspection. Only PP, sorry to say this...but it spells and smells arrogance to me. Best, Horo
