is akin to the "virginity" of the watch. I will not be surprised if the winner simply keeps it that way. If the individual is $ rich enough to take part in this level of bidding war, he should be rich enough to buy another 5004P as a second wearer. But "rich" can be very subjective.
Read from a magazine that a nominal 5004 recently went under the hammer in a London Auction for $242,500 !! So this piece can only possibly end at a price upwards from there. How much will it end at ? The sky's the limit these days. Let's see on 28 September.

There is only one course for virginity.... Seal must be broken. We should have a bet on how much this piece will fetch. I am $450k bid, $600k offered!

I always thought that mint Patek leave Switzerland vacuum packed. Bought my first pre-owned, so never had the chance to break the seal/open the vacuum pack. But I thought it is a granted thing to have when buying new. Isn't it not ? So why is it an Asian ...

but Europeans are not that crazy about it. There haven´t been (a lot of) plastic packed watches in stock at regular ADs, before the Asians became imortant customers over here ... ;-)

Every other piece on display is unsealed, unwrapped, and available for inspection. Only PP, sorry to say this...but it spells and smells arrogance to me. Best, Horo
