Patek Philippe

I tend to agree with whit...

While I don't have a Gold Patek, I have a famous brand two-toned dress watch with gold bracelet. It was bought and given to me by my fiancé back in 1995. Just like you and being an engagement gift, it was locked in the safe for the most part of 10 years, perhaps used very seldom for less than 20 times. I wore long sleeves to work and stayed most of the time in an air-conditioned room. I also rode on an airconditioned car daily, thus avoiding direct sunlight for most of the time and hardly sweat. Having done that, I recalled noticing the gold bracelet exhibiting some oxidized portion. However, since it was on the top back portion of the bracelet, it was hardly noticeable and bother me until you posted this thread. I had the watch serviced last year and had another look at the said watch and noticed that they took care of polishing off the tarnish.

Hope this helps.
