Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experiences about the matter. But still, i must admit, it has left me with more questions. The watch is barely 2 years old, unlike greenwatches' watch. It already bears the patek philippe seal, so it tells me that the AD got this stock allocation fairly recently when i bought it back in 2010. I understand whit's point that gold oxidizes over time. This happens quickly to a gold case or bracelet, but the hour, minute, or second hands? I have a 5110J which is much older (bought in 2005), subject to the same condition (most of the time in the safe) which does not have tarnished hands. I really am wondering why this happens to a two-year old watch and not to a seven-year old watch.

Nonetheless, i will give my AD a visit and point this out to the their technician. I really hope that they will do something about this before the guarantee expires this year.
