These vintage Chronos with their sector dial are to die for. At 31 mm, a bit small, but at 36 mm, just perfect. As for modern Chronos, I have a huge affection for the 5070 / 5970, and for the 5004. Now, the 5370 is a marvel. I agree with you when you say ... 

One chrono you didn\'t mention, which would be a grail, is the 3670a - would love to hear your views on that one.

because a manual winding perpetual is not a very practical watch. Especially if one have more than two watches. Furthermore, the simple chronograph is much more sober. Best, Kari

It is just quite rare because it was made as an anniversary piece. I enjoy my 5975P a lot but just 100 pieces were made. Best, Kari

That makes a total of 1300 pieces equivalent to the 5976 and 75% more than the 5711P. I guess there are fewer 5070\'s produced and try far more air time goes to 5070 & 5170 and seldom in the 5975 mentioned. It also has a very nice movement with a vertical... 

There are about 3200 5070 made More or less 1000 per color R/J/G And probably between 150 and 200?? p 5170.... no idea but if you allow me to guess I would say about 500-700 per year. So until now 4000-5000?

Probably 5975 is not discussed that much because the movement is not very special. The dial and the case are something sexy while 5070 is sexy from all parts. Best, Kari

I love my 5975 but let's face the fact: the movements inside the watches are pretty standard and mostly industrially made. No comparison between these two references. Best, Kari
