Patek Philippe

Indeed I think he has to make the next step

as his father made the previous one from the Henri Stern era.

By the way, Thierry Stern was at the head of the design for a while (from 1998 if I'm correct) under his father's period. So it is a continuous evolution and didn't start in 2009. Henri Stern and Philippe Stern also had to cope with significant evolutions and "testings" before we remember the bast of their era. But we often only remember the good things and forget the bad ones smile

We seem to feel quite the same about the blue color, we prefer the way it looks in the metal compared to the official pics feeling, hence darker and greyer. I'm glad you could confirm the feeling I had. The 5930 definitely seems to bring elegance in a seemingly more casual layout.

I took time to appreciate really the hands from the 5204 first, then the 5905. This is what happens when something brings a significant evolution and that we are used to our "habits". It is quite simple, I wouldn't like to go backwards and see these elements disappear.

You're not the first one I read about who says the watch doesn't look thick. I'm really eager to see that soon and how the construction made it so is indeed very satisfactory.

Thanks a lot for sharing your feedback with us. Your second picture shows the proportions in a really nice way and I must say I'm also thinking that I'm going to need that one when I try it. We'll see.

Cheers Phileas,

Mark
