It looks a little silly on me...
I've got an acquaintance - one I'm close enough where I don't mind if he says bad jokes in different languages and I'm not offended. This acquaintance is a big entertainment industry star and producer in Los Angeles. A recognizable man. With a recognizable name. He wears a beautiful jeweled watch and it looks perfectly appropriate on him. He also has a driver everywhere he goes.
I borrowed a diamond studded watch from a very high end watch brand and the watch was of great quality. But it just didn't look great nor appropriate on me. Probably since I'm not a movie star or music star. So it takes a special person to wear one of these and to wear one of these well. And I'd probably have to find some flashier pieces in my wardrobe to go with the watch!

I'm almost always in the camp of understated elegance, and classy, and not an admirer of bling...
so while I may respect the guy that made it, I don't really admire the guy that wears it.
Well, I must admit I was in the understated camp myself, until I saw a couple of this pieces in the metal.
Since then everything changed! I can’t pull it off since I don’t frequent the places where it would fit, and I can’t afford it either, but big kudos to all who buy and wear this for the art and not the flex! I could just sit and admire it endlessly… ...
PP has such a special watch, and it seems to be expensive. First of all, I am surprised that there are people who can get such a watch.
I don't particularly want to wear it myself, but I think the actual product must be more gorgeous and attractive than I can imagine.

I've never understood patek gem set watches... do they not know that we know the prices of diamonds, sapphires etc? Like the retail price of the 5374/300P is about 1.2 million bucks with the non-jeweled version the the 5374G is about 750k... plus they don...

So far, only a few times with close friends who are watch people. I hope to use it often though not daily. There are better suited watches for that.
The gem setting is very impressive and I can understand it would be lots of fun to own such a piece within a broader collection.
