I have a steel 5167 (steel) with tropical strap and agree with all the compliments above - wonderful watch!
I'm not sure if I understand our Count, but I think that I agree with the conclusion - why not 5167r?
In my opinion, the gold has the advantage of bringing out the best in the brownish dial - so if you are prepared to pay up, go for it

and I have to agree with Kari. My RG FF is now restricted to weekends. I went for the purchase with an SS in mind but ended with the RG cos they made me an offer I could not refuse.... but alas ! Needless to say, if I have to do it all over again, the SS ...

I have a 5980 R and the color is so warm and amazing--truly unique. I love Parek RG so I guess I am biased. Get the one you like better and will wear more.
