Biggest congrats for this acquisition 👍. The G -001 has surely got a very beautiful dial (for me the most beautiful of all G). If you have a wrist for the 41 mm case, and you surely have as we can see on your pics, the 5270 is a wonderful and easy wearing watch.
I own 3970 and 5270. Both designs are each of its own and not really comparable. So is the 5970. All 3 models cannot replace the other but represent a period of PP history. This is what is making me love collecting PP watches.
I fear, one day I have to look out for a 5970 too 😱

I agree with you Mike but only to a certain extent. I have owned PCC before from multiple manufacturers, Patek included. Although I am a huge chronograph fan, I prefer the chrono function by itself, UNLESS it is quirky and artful like early RD pieces...
You know I just picked up a Lange Double Split just last week which I consider "The King of Chronographs." I much prefer a Rattrapante over a PCC since I can focus on the chronograph and not get distracted by the Perpetual Calendar function. We'll see how...

Very true and I agree Mike. Some don't like the thickness and looks of a Lange case but not me. I look at the overall package and in my opinion there is nothing better technically than the Double Split besides maybe the Triple Split...
