But back to 5327: I said I will take platinum when it comes. Now I'm staring at the yellow gold. This perpetual in all 4 metals would make a nice set with my 4 x 5110. I need a shrink! Best, Kari

For the quartet, there are some models we are very tempted to imagine a full gathering. Now, aside from the higher budget compared to the 5110, there is the question of being sure there will be 1 of each material and not another version of the G or the R ...

Tried the 5327R and i rather liked it but the 5327G was unavailable. I think the 5327G would have been irresistible!

As I said to Sake, this blue dial is one of my favorite indeed as I prefer darker blue compared to the middle ones we also found in other Patek references. That's just a personnal taste (I already liked the 6000G blue dial for that reason if you remember)... 

the 3 models, the 5327J remains my very favorite, 5327G the 2d the blue dial is great, but should be boring with time IMHO Best, Patrickh ...

Agreed. Timeless is true especially in yellow gold. It harks back to the genesis of the Patek QP.

I love bracelets, especially when dealing with sportier watches. I never tried really a traditional watch like a Calatrava with a bracelet and must admit I was not particularly attracted by the ones I saw before. Nevertheless, I think you might get into s... 

I see that 5146 and 5396 are on a very well designed bracelets, but my conclusion is that is too small-scale and there are no perpetuals on it . The final design is up to the designers discretion, I agree but the opinion is a personal judgment. Mostly lov... 

I don't know if how the current bracelets you like can be adjusted to other cases. This is an interesting question, whether they are willing to provide such bracelet on more classical references. This will also please people in humid countries. Best, Mark...

I think that it is something to be done when considering what a Patek PC represents for a collector (and the budget of course).

I really like the symmetry of the dial. I love the classic look of the 5327J. I think this will be my next piece in yellow gold. CB

I love lacquered dials personally and this matches a more traditional style very well IMHO. Those Leaf hands are gorgeous, maybe my favorite, even if it would depend on the watch's style. Thank you Mike for chimming in and for your nice compliments Best, ... 

Love the dial design & proportion. Liked 5327G in blue dial and the best part is size 39mm. As I am having 5140R and due to 37mm its not getting deserved wrist time. The Breguet numerals are outstanding. Cheers ! Gautam

I totally agree, I love both and it is so easy to miss something. The baton markers bring a little discretion and a lighter look to a dressy watch and the Breguet numerals bring that charm and beauty that is also worth considering indeed. Thank you Gautam... 

Not having ever seen one in real life , it is often difficult to comment . But I must say the 3940 still calls out to me rather than any of these other iterations Julian

One is an ultra thin, dressy and refined watch, the other one is a greatly balanced, full of charm and beautifully designed version. Both very attractive, in different ways and that's allowing the brand to offer watches that don't look alike from a genera... 

the pink gold version is an absolute dream of a dress watch. The thinness, the sophistication and elegance, just sublime.

I like the size of this one, but the smaller more discreet size of the 5140 is also great. Another problem for all perpetual calendar users, for those who travel between different timezones a lot, I'm constantly worried about getting the watch desynchroni... 

and may appeal in a very different way to watch fans. Each time for a different aspect. As for your setting concerns, I totally agree. We must be careful when setting a simple date watch but the Perpetual Calendar is something that should be set a very sp... 

As the 240 caliber's biggest fan (I generally love micro-rotors) this is one of my favorite topics!

But I only got the chance to try them last December,I thought I would like the blue dial white gold variant,But I didn\'t prefer this shade of blue for a reason,Not the 5070P shade for instance nor the 5905P,Which I like a lot I got surprised by the Color... 

and the blue tone have to be seen in the metal to feel if it is what we like. I didn't see the J version so it is interesting to have your feedback and knowing that they are quite close in terms of color. Thanks Beejo! Best, Mark

Thank you for the enjoyable read! I was a bit disappointed by the blue one, from looking at it in the window of the AD, but on your wrist it is quite good looking. 39 mm is still "o.k." as it gives the pp calendar the size many collectors were expecting, ... 

Interesting to see how with a same watch you can bring such a different piece in the end, especially with this G blue dial one. I'm clearly more a rose gold guy for this kind of watch but, if I had to choose, i don't know if I would get this one or the G ... 

I must say it is a truly beautiful watch. While I prefer the rose version, the enamel like Breguet dial in both versions is enticing - for me much more appealing than the blue dial. The case is also fantastic. When Patek brought out the 5140 I thought it ... 

I love the lacquered dials and the R and J dials have a great look. It is interesting to read about your preference for the R version. I think that people should indeed compare both R and J if willing to go for it. As you say, the 5327 brings a quite sign...

Well, that's something Patrick emphasized too. As it is mentioned on Patek's website, it should be delivered with a deployant buckle. I wonder if they just added pin buckles for the Basel prototypes only. I'll have to check. Best, Mark

Thanks Mark. Enjoyed the reading. The new perpetual is classy but not classic - too big in my opinion.. Think I am repeating myself now Sorry. But the breguet numerals fits well here to fill some space on a big dial. The 5327 actually made me pull the tri... 

And yours is perfectly relevant! Something I find very good in this case is that the new generation doesn't always just replace the previous one; they are both as appealing (depending on our tastes of course). Someone will still be able to prefer an older... 

The 5327G blue dials is quite stunning and a fore runner for my collection if nothing comes out if Baselworld to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the movement. An observation is that I have seen this watch in at least 3 AD\'s .....either no one is buying...

I had the chance to see the G and R version in the metal. I must admit that I was stunned by the blue dial of the G. It's incredibly elegant and mesmerizing indeed. I liked the Red gold version as well but for my personal taste I need to wait 10 more year...

and getting the matte strap will bring a great balance between modern and classic. Furthermore, it gives more importance to the watch itself. Great choice. As you said, the 5327 is a beautiful interpretation of a PC from Patek, especially that case shape ...
