My mistake. There is another 1/10 second track.

So the chrono hand moves at 1/10 of a second. But it takes 12 seconds to complete one revolution around the dial.

As you all know Zenith's striking 10 watch rotates during 10 sec one complete cycle over the dial. Why is this 5470 rotating in 12 sec over the dial and not in 10? The Zenith and the 5470 share the same beat ratio of 36.000 pbh. I instantly noticed this d...

The red marker provides a slightly higher resolution view of the 10th of a second scale, as confusing as it may be. Admittedly a high achievement technically ā¤ļø
Aaah ... I was then thinking of a different issue
By: COUNT DE MONET : April 14th, 2022-11:17
I focused more on the "classic 4 to 8" positions of chronos with two chrono hands. With 10 sec/rotation this display would not be possible. You are certainly correct š
I thought.......

...it was cost cutting from Patek. Using the 1-12 and denominators, a new scale is not required and therefore keeps the cost down for everyone.
It's Rather Simple Really

For years it's been easy pickings. Just change a dial color and the sheeple lose their minds. With this new model, PP completes the circle of stupidity. May The Schwartz Be With You ...

Very well done...

...I will look for others that show how the 1/10th second function works...
I like the display Patek has introducedā¦

Itās a very elegant solution that makes the 1/10th reading simple and the external track markings cohabit beautifully. Gorgeous watch!
Iāll be honest

I donāt know how this watch works. How do you get 1/10 of a second when there are 12 positions on the dial? Was waiting for a video or something. Glad Iām not the only idiot who couldnāt figure this outā¦
Well, it is a,bit difficult, yes
By: COUNT DE MONET : April 14th, 2022-18:39
... but than not. Think as it as such: Patek has made to the naked eye invisible 10 steps/sec moves of the chrono second hand visible by using another hand, that is directly linked to the chrono hands wheel, but rotates faster, because of the used ratio/g...
Send me the PP sir.

And i will first hand compare to my Zenith striking 10th. Then will make a full report for you.
The why Zenith is difficult for me
By: Weems@8 : April 14th, 2022-19:53
There is no perfect one for me. Sadly always a detail or a lack of ADās. The 10th of a second, found the watch and sadly a screw in crown. See a nice Zenith, sadly they found in not necessary to give it a transparent case back. Or blending hands in a busy...
Maybe we are all the same thingā¦
By: Darron : April 14th, 2022-21:45
But I thought Patek chose having the red hand make one full revolution every 12 seconds so they can keep the dial cleanā¦ then they put 1/10th second markers between each numeralā¦ So every time the red hand travels to a another numeral, it travels a second...
