as a joke , you know most owners considering the 31s extremely scarce which is not the case IMHO , it s definetly not common but much easier to find than let say a Simplicity .

....yes, i assume that there are 200-400 of each metal or thereabouts...just an informed guess. Less 5131P at the moment but who knows if they continue producing for another year. Its rare but not that rare.

in the J/G era was much longer but the artisan should supply both metals ,about figures i can just guessing .

And since we are guessing, this might also be the last year of the P, hence of the whole run...but who knows 😉

the early years 2008/2009 likely took longer time to make the J as the artisans (I read in an article a team of 2 in the beginning) needed to get familiar with the production run (I heard a week for a dial on average - so 50 pieces a year). Later on I thi...

I enjoy my 5131 regardless.

Only one in ten dials were eventually used after quality control. Enamel is a very erratic substance so consistent results are hard.

I have met several enamel artist after developing an interest in these kind of watches. They aren’t as difficult as these watch companies lead you to believe, they are all hyperbolic in their marketing pitches.

Would be to look at what percentage of limited edition Patek are listed for sale on c24..... 5565 8 listed out of 300 or 2.7% 5275P 2 listed out of 175 or 1.1% 5975J 27 listed out of 400 or 6.8% 5975G 15 listed out of 400 or 3.8% 5975R 21 listed out of 40... 

That is a very systematic and i would think a bit time consuming way of trying to find a number that only Patek knows 😋 Thanks for doing this exercise. As I don’t sell any of my watches for me the number is not that important for me. As long as I enjoy th... 

It is not so relevant to me how many were produced either... they are wonderful pieces and i enjoy mine tremendously regardless.

the market knows exactly the numbers for LEs but not for 5131s which is a limited production reference. It would be interesting to understand whether more or less of the limited production piece 5131 are being sold vs limited editions.

not in any ways conclusive as not all listings for sale are on c24 and some listings on c24 are duplicates or not always real. However if one takes 14 references perhaps some pattern appears for limited edition pieces. Now perhaps behavior for limited edi...

Given there is one for sale makes sample size a bit difficult to use reliably...there is also a 5070P London edition and that one was produced in lower quantity than the regular 5070P...

Only produced for one year and Patek are on record as stating that no more than 250 5070s per year were made. So my guess is 150-250 were made in 5070p
