patek 3900 quartz ticking scond hand
Hi .Please could somebody help me .I have recently been left a patek nautilus due to a death in the family and as far as i can tell it is the model 3900 which i am told has a quartz movement. The case is ss/gold with a black face however the second hand ticks rather than sweeps .Is this normal on the quartz model's .Please could somebody advise me on what is corect as i am getting very conflicting advise.

do patek even make quartz watches? not sure if the nautilus came in quartz but lets wait and see what the others say

Yes, the Nautilus was made in a quartz version and if the seconds hands jumps for each second, then I would say that is what you have. As I recall, that case is slightly, not much though, smaller than the 3800.
