Patek 5231J versus other Patek enamel world timers
Hi all, I am applying fo a PP 5321J World Timer and would like to hear how it ranks with other similar WT versions with the cloisonné dials. It is Yellow gold and 38.5mm so a little smaller than my Patek WT New York special edition at 39mm that is not the Cloisonné dial. The NY edition I own is a wonderful watch that I don’t seem to gravitate towards but have always liked the look of the cloisonné dials. What is it that makes Patek enthusiast/collectors like the enamel cloisonné dials so much over other dials?
I haven’t bought any yellow gold watches and also wonder how the overall look on the 5231L is compared to white or rose gold. Thanks so much in advance for your help...Jim

Congrats Jim, I wish you all the best in seizing this marvel! Just note in terms of size that the 5230 (including the NY editions) and 5231 are the exact same cases, and are all 38.5mm.

Just kidding. I can only agree with what Fabrizio said. I love my 5231J but, if you have the chance to still get a 5131/1P go for that one, it’s in a different league (also compared to the rest of 5131s), IMO. Best, V.

When it comes to 5131 or 5231 any metals are beautiful. I would focus on the dial if you like the dial and are offered one go for it. 👍
Regarding Fab comments regarding 5077 and 5089 they are in a league on their own. One day maybe 👍
