PP Trio
Going over my record, my first PP dated 1993, 24 years ago. Wind it up and she goes silently again.The linkages are solid 18k gold and according to shops, this is a valuable piece and I should keep it. 24 years, the watch still shines and not a touch of material tarnish, unlike other gold pieces, already turned dull. I have forgotten the model and name of this piece, perhaps fellow members can track it down, its an oversized PP back in 1993 that's what I remembered. And to answer Raymond S question, promised I can't disclose where I got my 5712 without waiting for one.

Yes its a very handsome watch , the 5712a. The assymetrical shape like a porthole is really chic and unique.

I think the 5712's thinness is one of its best characteristics - personally I prefer the thinner microrotor 240 movement over the 315 - and what it may lack in heft the 5712 wins in complexity, details, and refinement. Like you I saw the 5712 in the windo...
