I celebrated my 30th Birthday this year by purchasing my first Patek - a 5146J in August 2012. It certainly whet my appetite for another Patek and the quality it oozed has left me expecting much more from other brands such as Audemars Piguet (OT: so much ...
that getting a Patek from a Salon, is a special experience. You have nice cuff links there. But they are in the old style box. Did you buy those with the watch?' Best, Kari
I bought the cufflinks first about a year ago, even before I got my 5146. I got the correct-current style box but it is too large for travelling so I'm using a *random* jewellery box (which seems to be for a Swiss retailer) which carries the Calatrava cuf...
This is can imagine :-) First of all: Congrats! You mentioned you sold your AP RO in RG because of quality and bought instead a classical Calatrava? What do you think about the Nautilus collection? Best, Oliver
Congrats on the watch. Wear it in good health. I like your Montblanc Agatha Christie 4810 fountain pen. I have the same one and really enjoy it. It was nice that the salon provided you with a few nice extras. Mark
Thanks for the kind comments. My 'other' passion is fountain pens, particularly a focus on LE/WE/SE Montblanc pieces I've got both the Sterling Silver Agatha and the Vermeil 4810 Agatha, along with a couple favourites such as the Dumas, Octavian and 75th ...
5127 is very Patek...a very nice dress watch yet not boring at all. The Agatha Christie 4810 pen is another highlight. One of few Montblanc (Heimingway, Medici, Agatha and Octavian) that I like very much.
Great to have a pen enthusiast here on the forum. I used to have quite a few Montblancs, now I have reduced my collection to very few pieces that I really like such as Hemingway, Agatha (silver and vermeil), Medici, Octavian, Proust and one Pelikan, the 1...
Never been a fan of the crown guards, but after seeing these beautiful photos and how incredible this piece looks on your wrist I think I'm coming around.... Congratulations on both your watches - a stunning pair that fits any occasion.
Congratulations on the 5127. The 5127J was my first Patek and I had a good boutique experience at Beyer's in Zurich. I've bought several more Patek's but nothing has come close to the boutique experience. Going to the Patek boutique in Geneva (and buying ...
Yes, they have pretty much the entire 'current' collection, even pieces that have yet to be phased out, i.e. there was a 5170J on display next to a 5270G. I've had pretty decent boutique experiences in London, Kuwait and Singapore in particular but nothin...
for a one in a life time ocassion.(You are thirty years old only once). It looks amazing on your wrist and fits perfecly with the photographed surrandings. It has been a while. How does it wear? Do you wear it often? Could you snap some recent pictures pl...
Hi Edward, Thanks for the kind comments. My regular rotation includes my AP Royal Oak and Patek 5146 annual calendar. The 5127 doesn't get worn as often as I was hoping as my work took a change; working remotely from home rather than commuting to work eve...
