reliability of 324 and 240 movement
Hi guys,
I hear often that 324 is a very reliable movement. I am just curious, has anyone here owned a Patek with 324 movement for more than 5 years without any service? How about caliber 240? Anyone had 240 movement watch fro more than 5 years without service? I hear often the stories from Rolex owners that their watch goes for 10-15 years without any service. Would be nice to hear similar stories about Patek. Here is my 5127 next to the 5227 brothers at the Patek Salon in Geneva. Enjoy!

tells that Cal. 240 is more reliable than 315/324. Patek 5110P with Cal. 240 no service since 2005 - 8 years already! Patek 5712 1/A with Cal 240 no service since 2009 - 4 years. Patek 5167 A with Cal 324, already serviced after 1.5 years. Reason: low rot...

I wish to clarify this issue about servicing. Reading many of your post, it gives me a sensing that a watch Patek has to be serviced after x number of years. Does it have to be serviced even if it is keeping good time, after x number if years ? Or Does it...
