Patek Philippe

Hi, i am a new member and hopefully a new patek owner. i am arranging to purchase a vintage golden ellipse from a private antiques dealer who is some what away from me, i plan to take a professional or arrange to go to an independent dealers with buyer to...  

i'm no expert on the Golden Ellipse but everything about this looks good to me. The movement is certainly correct (and a beauty), the markings look right in the case back and even the buckle looks accurate. Stunning watch.

it is the model you like and not because it is a good bargain. The Ellipse has its charm, has its aficionados but is not necessarily the most coveted model from PP. So go for it if YOU like it, and enjot it every time you wear it. But don't buy it just be... 

thanks for all the help, does any body know of any other differences from all the ellipse apart from the caliber as externally they all look identical..

Unless I am mistaking the new version is larger than the vintage one.

As Mike H is saying correctly: just size changes in the past. It was also my first, and also because of Patek's pricing policy a bit, my only one so far. But I trust you have the same feeling if you look at this Patek as I have :-)! On your pictures it lo...  

I do believe it represents a great value presently because of its size and the fact it wasn't as popular as other references. There were a couple of variations, T-bar case lugs as the one you pictured and integrated case lugs both with different bezel and... 

hey guys thanks for all your help and input, went to the branch in new bond street unfortunatly there was no history on the watch possibly because its not from the uk so will have to get archive. I will post some pics as soon as i get it in a couple days ...
