Patek Philippe

Hi Guys after some considerable search, inspecting four or five of them in the last years, it's now at my wrist. What I have always loved about the dial is the simplicity - Bauhaus style - and cleanliness of the proportions .... contrasted by the Amagneti...  

What can I say? You were faster than me, and a traitor did the rest. I am very happy for you, you know how much I like this watch, and being lucky to see it in the flesh was more than a consolation, a Dream! I will have to post about this watch, some pics...

Ciao Franco e ciao Nicolas, You both know that I'm in love with this particular watch since a couple of years. I've studied very much about it (I wrote an in-depth review 2 years ago, unfortunately only into Italian language), I think that less than 1000 ... 

Tell me, I prepared a short review on this watch... Very short, nothing very consistent, but I wondered if you know how much it was resistant in gauss? Do you have an idea? Was funny to speak with you on the phone! Best, Nicolas

Ciao Nicolas I know that railmster was 800 Gauss resistance but unfortunately I've no sure data for 3417. I'm here waiting for your short review. Have a nice day M.

Well, I just checked, and it is written in the Omegamania Book that the Railmasters were resistant to ... 1000 Gauss, exactly like the Rolex 1019, when the former crowned Milgauss was " just " resistant to 800 Gauss. The JLC Geophysic is resistant to 600 ...

Ciao Roni it only came with its 14mm PP buckle in steel, on a generic but good quality strap: However, in the years I have been looking for it, I've had the chance to purchase what I think was the original box: Very streamlined, perfect match IMNVHO. Best...  

Actually I think I've only once come across a 3417 with the original box and original papers and that was at Auction late last year in London but that 3417 didn't have Anti Magnetic on the dial though the dial itself was slightly unusual. Being in London ...

... but there is no picture of the box in their archives. At any rate, it would have been dubious that it was its original box anyway.

Why Dubious? The watch was consigned by a descendent of the original owner,it had the original paperwork from the time of sale so it is quite possible the box with it was original box was there too surely? Roni

... it is probable, but also perhaps that in its absence another Patek box was purchased, perhaps with the advise of the auctioner. I simply do not know, and if I have no evidence I a dubious. It would have been good to have pictures, really - but I have ... 

simple but beautiful box. Is it really that easy to reach (WIS) heaven? Seems like Will have to think about that, more often ;-) All shown examples of that watch have been great. Thanks to all, for sharing! Oliver

The 3417 is one of my all time favourate watches however its not getting much wrist time lately.... too many watches!!!...
