5053 owners...help
Hi my 5053 seems to be developing "spots" resulting some discolouration along the edges of the dial. Does your 5053 has similar issues as well? Any idea what's causing this? Aging? Thanks in advance. O ...
I don't see them on your picture
but anyway, discoloration dots are certainly not normal on a modern dial. I would suggest you to show it to a Patek retailer to ask for what's possible considering the age of your watch etc... Keep us informed. Best, Mark

It looks as if the chemicals used were not stable and are changing. Any deviations from the mix or process can be a problem.

It should never happen on a watch of your vintage. Which raises the question if your watch was ever opened by a non Patek tech. When we see very old dials with deterioration it is not just from age along. It is a number of things. If the watch was stored ...
