I have the same feeling on the 5650's dial.
As for the 5960/1A, I don't think they will provide a strap version as it will have a quite negative impact on the value of all the bracelet versions already sold. Hence the choice of the 5960G imho.
That's great to read the diversity of opinions as long as it is done in a respectful way and with an open mind. You certainly don't have to apologize for that! That's what people are looking for here. I often give a counter opinion to balance the discussions, especially when I feel we can be over reacting or when we miss some important sides of a matter. But everyone's taste is worthy expressing and reading here!

I think they may find back their place in watchmaking
but all depends how it is done, where we'll see them etc... We'll need another 5 or 10 years to find out. In the mean time, there are references I would have prefered without them too. Best, Mark

The 5131 P is very clever from Patek to combine it with a p-bracelet and the 5170 p with diamonds, for same reasons:
