Patek Philippe

I am drawing my attentions next to a 'useful' complication such as a Travel Time or Dual Time. I find that the Patek 5134 ticks a lot of boxes for me, but only the earlier version in WG with the applied Breguet numerals. Trouble is I cannot find much info... 

And this is my old 5134G. I bought my 5134P in the original unopened packing (double sealed) with "open" papers. So those are available because I bought my watch some 13 years after it was originally sold. So people say that the movement is too small... N...  

I must admit I do prefer the G to the P, Need to try one on the wrist but I think I may well 'go for it', they seeem incredibly good value for something so elegant and functional.

of the older model while the two-tone dial of the newer platinum is really nice in metal. It also makes a nice pair with 5196P Best, Kari ...  

Thanks both. I have noted the price of the 5110 is not far from the 5134 and I think you may both be uniquely positioned to compare the two pros and cons. I am also considering the Lange 1 Timezone

The 5134 is the more practical complication if you are using is to track two time zones while traveling. The 5110 is the more iconic watch. Quintessential Patek. Among the most beautiful they\'ve produced. And what the 5110 lacks in practicality it makes ... 

..and this is all I need but the 5110 seems a lot of watch for the money. Seems there is no bad choice here!

Aesthetically, the watch is more classical but more refined as well. Very elegant. The world time it is makes it very useful and/or very satisfying to wear. I also think it is a very important reference for Patek. However, in the end, the 5134 also has a ... 

i am lucky I have a dealer near me who currently has both in stock so I can try them side by side. I cannot get there until mid February though.

I tried several watches today... The 5134 is not for me. I LOVED the dial of the older 5134G but the watch is too small for my wrist and I could not differentiate between the two different hour hands or even the minute hand. Also the lack of date was a mi...

the watch I chose was both the most comfortable and easiest to read (for me). This will be a working watch, pure simple Travel Time

It is the best way to judge and know how you really feel for a model or another. I'm curious to see what you ordered Cheers, Mark

No more now until I have it on my wrist

So after my day of trying various watches early in Feburary it is time to reveal my eventual choice. As you know already, it is not a PP, Lange or JLC. This watch of all I tried was both the most comfortable on the wrist and the easiest to read at a glanc...  

I think you see Padj soon and he can tell you his honest thoughts of it in the flesh. I am very impressed with everything about it so far. We even set it to New Jersey time for Padj, (sadly I did not take a picture of that) very easy

The most important is that you feel perfect with your watch. That's what we're all looking for. I'll be eagerly waiting for your review. Wear it in the best of health hashluck! Cheers, Mark

I had a very open mind about all the watches I was going to try. No preconceptions. This is the one that worked on every level.

I recently got a Galet Micro-rotor but must admit that this Laurent Ferrier Traveler was my favorite! Awesome purchase I'm sure you'll enjoy it 👍🏻
