In my opinion the 6000G is a great watch indeed, J.
But the new version is not that bad as well. The date hand with the moon on the 6000 looks a bit old fashioned like it comes from 40/50ies dato-chronos. The hand on the 6006 is more plain and sporty. The hour/minute hands on the 6006 are looking a bit odd...
Love the slate 6000G. Very cool piece indeed!
As for the new 6006 I am nit against the upsized but wish they would have opted for a new dial color. Khaki would have been cool I think...

The hands are more cohesive on this model. Not quite smitten by the "skeletonised" hands on the new one.

it is a special watch
a watch for someone who can afford to have more than one patek. for me, it is a bit too retro in a forced way, like the sector dial 5296. in real life, the 6000 looks much better and the dial less nervous. 5000 is even better.

But yes, I wasn't convinced by this one until I saw it in the metal=)
