The date repeater complication..
..has already been done before. Sorry to burst anyone's bubble.
A.L. Breguet did it with one of his original watches, I believe it was sometime
after 1800, to 1820. I distinctly remember one watch, mentioned in the book
Art of Breguet, that had a date repeater complication. It had 2 heavy, flat bladed
gongs it did this on. I cannot recall the actual watch number right now, but I am very
certain it was in there. I remember it standing out for such its unusual nature.
So, it has been done before, but that is the only other watch I know of that ever did it.
It is definitely a very very rare complication, and I was wondering if only I had noticed it...
seems someone at Patek remembers the details in antiquarian horology books too
I can't wait for mechanism photos of the movement on this piece. It should truly be stunning.

A huge pet peeve of mine regarding numeral orientation on the dial. Please implore PP to 'flip' the Roman numerals from V to VIII. There is no reason for them not to be oriented radially from the center of the dial. Not that I could ever afford this watch...
