Is that 2,000 pieces take time to manufacture. That so, PP could react to this negativity by offering recipients the choice: embossing or no embossing. The diamond markers in themselves identify these pieces as different. If this forum is anything to go by, the vast majority will choose "no embossing". The early/pre production pieces with embossing can go into the PP museum as a mistake from which the brand has learned something. I do think this whole thing has been a PR disaster, but there is time/scope to salvage something.
