You might check with PP themselves, but as far as I’m concerned (and there are some vintage PP folks here who would know more) you are good to go.
I can say I’ve made similar mistakes with JLC, buying vintage labeled buckles that end up being a decade or two newer than the watch.
I don't understand what you mean that is a period correct buckle for that watch.
What type of buckle do you think it should have? as in the 50's and 60's these were the buckles that were used and I think they were made by a company called AW who made the gold buckles for a lot of the big Maisons. Marc
Some are just signed AW
Others are stamped with PP Co with the AW signature. By the way, have you ever seen vintage Cressarrow buckles? Lovely. Banks are closed tomorrow. Will look Monday and come back to this post to let you know.
