As some of you may know the 5960 has been my grail for a long time, almost from the time that I was released. Prior the 5960 I appreciated the mechanical aspect of Patek, but the designs left me cold. I knew that Patek was “The Best” but I had a hard time...

I find the calatrava cross clasp to be a little too flashy. I prefer the more discreet look of the chevron clasp. They both fit exactly the same, the only difference is the part of the clasp that shows.

IMO one of the best modern watches at this level...... Enjoy your piece of Patek history..... M.

Pictures of your 5167? Too small? Some people would say its too big...

I had no issue with the diameter of the 5167, it was the height of the case that i couldn't used to. On my wrist it just lacked any kind of presence. I really liked the case with all of its different angles (even more than the nautilus) but in the end it ...

You have two stunning Pateks. And the 5960 is most definately on my "Would like to own" list. I also have to agree with you in regards to your conclusions between the Calatrava Cross and the more traditional tang buckle. And on a side note if its not too ... 

The point I was trying to make was that other Pateks in the Past have been almost strictly for a more mature aged man. The colors of dials, the thin cases, and smaller diameters, wouldn't appeal so much to the younger generation (like myself) who have got...

Hi Roger The 5960 is also my grail watch, I am dreaming about it night and day. I am saying to myself, I will have it one day! Out of interest, how long did it take for you to move from the 5167 to 5960 and there are the 5070 and 5980 in between? Regards

I first became REALLY interested in the 5960 in late 2006. Once I took an interest in PP I just knew I had to have one. Since I couldn't go right for the 5960 I began looking for an alternative. I believe I purchased the 5167 in late 2007, so from purchas...
