The point I was trying to make was that other Pateks in the Past have been almost strictly for a more mature aged man. The colors of dials, the thin cases, and smaller diameters, wouldn't appeal so much to the younger generation (like myself) who have gotten used to more modern and bold watches, like Panerais, Hublot, and AP ROOs.
I think you can really see Thierry's younger age come through in many of the Pateks recent pieces, beginning with 5960, then 5980, 5207, 5205, even the 5951 with the bits in red. Theses are all watches that IMO have design details to make them appeal to both Pateks established clientele, and attract some of the new young money in places like asia.
Perhaps it is simply an evolution in Pateks design but I know for a fact that 5-6 years ago there wasn't single Patek that really appealed to me or any one of my friends. Lately I find myself and my friends REALLY like more and more of Pateks offerings.
As for my age bracket, Im in the under 30 without children range, safe from the "father and grandfather" range LOL though I look forward to joining those some day.
