Dear Salihyoluc,

I think you have clearly laid out your thinking and the situation (I don't judge or interpret you mentioning the prices and the fact that they are all expensive watches as an indication that you just want to go for them bc of high price, I think you just want to lay out the context for us to consider - and price is an important element of any purchase).

From my experience, please don't go for the second or third choice just for availability. Not at that level. Try to get the one (Number 1) you really want - i.e. the Nautilus Platinum I guess from your rationale. Number 3 seems to be there only bc "you can get one", and the fact you mentioned 'sealed' means that you probably not gonna wear it. Would be a shame. So, forget Number 3. And Number 2 - same thing. You do not seem to be a YG guy (the fact that YG is missing in your collection). So...so far, you followed your instincts. Stick to white metals. I am the same: and tried to convince myself that I need YG watches. I end up never wearing them.

So, go for the Nautilus. Eventually, with patience, you will find one. And trust me, the day you buy your second or third choice watch, you would find one (Murphy's law) and kick your a... Often rumours about limited availability or strategically spread by manufacturers to artificially increase desirability etc. May not be the case here (I wouldn't know the Patek world well enough). But, again, there are always ways to get one with patience.

At these price levels, don't settle for a compromise just for current availability.

I am not sure what kind of advice you are looking for!!!!! My suggestion would be to buy the 5270G if you are able to and can afford it! the odds of getting any of the other 3 pieces you mentioned are very very low. It seems to me that you are new to Pate...

wear the watch as it is. I know it may seem weird to you, but I don't like changing straps at all, so that's why brown strap is a turn-off for me.

The three you are considering are veeeeery different pièces, and they are quite expensive. You should take the time to consider each of them in a longer period. I have a " trick " to make my mind when I can't decide. I take or find pictures of the watches...

I like it but imo it's too expensive for such a simpe watch. 5070P gets my vote Now if it would be a 5131J .... I would doubt 5131J or G .... for me it's the J, it has a much warmer feeling

They are different and i do prefer the white gold version due its fantastic map. Also, Turkey is on G version, as well as Russia. It was one if the arguments for me. Platinum version of Nau is great too - but there is a alternative in steel, while 5131 is...

There is an entirely different hemisphere depicted between the G and J versions. That would explain the difference you describe. Personally I never understood the appeal of these dials. "Emporer's new clothes" perhaps? No offense intended, and desirabilit...

Have you seen both the J and G dials together? There is variability in each depending on the artist. I actually wear the 5131G more often (because of the silver-colored case), but I look forward to the days I choose the 5131J ... because I think the watch...

for me personally, of the three, i'd buy the 5070p. i love chronos, the blue dial is magnificent, and it's sporty enough to wear casually given it's size. i don't care for the others.
