Thank you for a refreshing and interesting analysis.
I hadn't thought of the AP and PP as being so different from the VC but I do see what you mean. In my own opinion as well, the PP is rather more elegant than the others.
The challenge I face regarding wrist size isn't so much 'summer' and 'winter' but one of hourly and daily variations, based upon whether I'm outdoors (mega-wrist!) or indoors (mini-wrist!).
And thinking about it, perhaps I keep looking for alternatives when there is none really to be found. Perhaps I'm asking too much from one watch, and perhaps I need to stop thinking of the Nautilus as being able to fulfill that ultimate goal of having One Perfect Watch...

I only see the Ardillon buckle solution because even with an adjustable bracelet clasp I think it will be boring to switch it several times a day. And, yes I agree the Nautilus is more elegant whereas the RO is sportier. Cheers, Mark
Completely agree with the thing about cutting the strap to size...
my strap on the Aquanaut fits in the outdoors, but gets uncomfortable with heat and sweat, and too loose in the aircon interior of buildings.
