Criticism: where criticism is due

Although I am the Piaget forum moderator, I still have to criticise one aspect of the design of the Polo FortyFive Chronograph.

The sub-registers have markings 2/3 of the way along the hands such that the body of the tapering hand blocks the view if the markers.  Markers should be at the tip of each hand.

This is particularly irksome at the minutes sub-counter and running seconds sub-dial.

Most likely, the design requirement for the three sub-dials to overlap, precluded markers at the periphery.

In use, the chronograph seconds is clearly indicated and it is not difficult to read the elapsed minutes; so it can still function as a chronograph.

Only the reading of normal seconds may be obscured slightly but we don't really need split seconds reading of a normal seconds hand.......it just bugs the PuristS' collective psyche!  smile
