The Piaget Emperador Coussin XL (46,5 mm) and the Grande Lune (large moon) complication (powered by calibre 860P) have been used as a base for some beautiful dial decoration work by both:

The Eurasia appeals to me most of all!
Really like the moonphase integration in all of them, though.
Hummm, while beautiful indeed, I prefer the much simplet look of the "plain" scrimshaw version you posted.
And to be honest, that moon phase window, the proportion to dial space, is WAY TOO BIG for me. It detracts from the beautiful dial ial IMO.
I guess you have a point.
But I’m personally more bothered by the case diameter than by the size of the moon: it takes a lot of space on the dial, that’s for sure, but I quite like this original way of displaying the moon phases. The Altiplano Scrimshaw is much more wearable, thou...
Neither do I like the size.
As for the case shape, I’d like to see one on real life to know how it feels on the wrist. Best, Emmanuel
