Rolex

I will come back to it with more details but at least, it was for me a nice surprise to see a more ambitious Cellini collection. We all agree that it was impossible to do worse than the current collection, full of uninspired watches except maybe the Princ...  

The design of the case is interesting enough, echoing the serrations on the caseback, but I found the dials bland and unremarkable. From the prices, they're going into a very competitive market where there's not much exposure for their brand, so they real... 

But it's that large second hand that kills it. I will say, I do like the Cellini Cellinium in platinum with the ice blue face. That's a good looking watch. And also a fairly nicely finished hand wound movement.

I know most fuss goes the the WG GMT but that is, apart from the Cerachrom and the white gold, nothing new design wise. And I also agree on the Dual Time being the nicest. I mean: the 39 mm is spot on dressy + a nice moon/sun display. Only thing i wonder,...  

I don't like the new Cellinis as "Rolex" watches, but they are actually very very elegant. I do feel the Cellini family should have been allowed fade away gracefully. Rolex could have created collections of inspiring dress watches with new names which wou...
