a coincidence....
......as to be honest it took about 2 years before i started to grow to love it....many times in fact i looked to sell it....BUT, every time i looked to sell it, my wife would tell me that she didn't care less if i sold ant of the other Rolex, but this Explorer II was the only one she liked. And again and again, she will compliment it when she sees it.
Now.....its impossible to sell.

Disagree on the 1016. It is much more Rolex than the 1655.
The 3 / 6 / 9 dial and the hands are so Rolex! Best, Nicolas
To me there's something very unrolex about the 1016. The combination
of smooth bezel that is narrow relative to the case width, no cyclops, no date at all, the choice of minute indices, the general low profile, it does not have all the rolex cues for me. Even the rolex crown and name somehow recede. You have a point about ...
