Rolex

a nice dial/hands combo

Yes,  this unusual dial/hands combo is very nice.

Navyeight mentioned that the watch he lately purchased on VRF had not bracelet marks. Mine is mounted on a late folded flip lock band from the late eighties, so not original to the watch (1978).

It has reminded me that I forgot to mention that if one needs to use the case back  as a hammer , but I don't recommand that smile ,  you can't do it if the watch is mounted on its original fliplock Oyster bracelet unless you dismantle the fliplock clasp before.

You need to wear a watch mounted on a band featuring a classic pin buckle  like a Tropic or  a Nato band in order to make the case back useable as a hammer,  and that is another  slight  hint for believing the watch  could have been military issued imho.
