I have been playing around with the idea to get both of my sons a Rolex manufactured in their respective birth year. My first son was born in 2013 . My second, in 2015 . The idea is, that I find a well preserved piece and put it away at the bank, and pres... 

In the end I decided against it. I don’t know if he will be into watches when he grows up and if he is, I will want him to discover his own taste (or pick out a piece from my collection to make his). It would be a shame to lock away a watch in the safe no...

A Sub is a classic. Definitely a great candidate! Black or green? Date or no date? You are right - probably better to get them something similar. 👍

For simplicity two no date Subs. If you want to throw the proverbial kitchen sink at it, two green Subs.

If it was me, I'd much prefer my Dad pass down the watch I remember him faithfully wearing at my soccer games, family vacations, mowing the lawn, etc. THOSE are the ones which will carry true sentimental value for your boys. Why not find two pieces you wa...

They are two icons that appeal to just about everyone equally. I’d stay away from the colored inserts (Batman, Pepsi) because who knows what their respective tastes in colors will be.

Because they are a little safer than a Sub, or a Daytona (my next two choices). By “safer” I mean a little more flexible to the potential style or taste of your kids. Bracelet or no bracelet, both will work very well with the Explorer. Sporty if you want,...

So far I have given 9 various Rolexes to my children and grandkids on their graduation. Always with the stipulation that the watches stay in the family and can be traded around among them. It has worked well for us.
