I (tried) to do same for my kids but in the end I bought both of them a new watch instead of vintage. But that’s more because of the fact that I simply couldn’t find the preferred watches made in their year of birth
Now mine were boy and girl that makes life easier. If two boys, then I would recommend you buy them both the same watch.
Which ones would I recommend or pick myself?
I would probably go for the submariner or the Explorer. Why? The submariner is Rolex, it’s indestructible it holds value forever and it’s a, (how to put it in today’s gender neutral environment) it’s a mans watch.
Alternatively the Explorer, same Rolex dna but more modest in presence

For simplicity two no date Subs. If you want to throw the proverbial kitchen sink at it, two green Subs.
Two Explorer I watches, one for each. Nothing is more timeless from any brand.
Or, rainbow iced day-dates. Those will be hot in 2031.

I’d go with a black sub and black gmt
They are two icons that appeal to just about everyone equally. I’d stay away from the colored inserts (Batman, Pepsi) because who knows what their respective tastes in colors will be.

Rolex
So far I have given 9 various Rolexes to my children and grandkids on their graduation. Always with the stipulation that the watches stay in the family and can be traded around among them. It has worked well for us.
