I hesitated with the Deep-sea for months myself, but like you I seem to gravitate towards it when I’m out looking at watches, I never did pull the trigger myself because I was influenced by all negativity around this watch ( well...I learned my lesson on this one...don't pay attention to the negative stuff and to decide on my own if I like or not) I think my wife got tired of me looking at it and talking about it all the time, so she got it for me on Fathers day this year . After sizing it and wearing for a few months, all the my concerns with the things I’ve been hearing about regarding the “bracelet taper, distracting inner ring and balance” went out the window…non issue for me. it’s a great watch and wears Fantastic!
