I am one of those thinking 37, 38 mm is not enough at least for my wrist. Hence for one it is good, for the other it is not. Although I like the Tudors very much.

I was impressed when I saw these for the first time, especially the proportions and case thickness. Great watch

While it is soooo tiny for the standards of our times, the watch is an absolute joy! I have a couple of thoughts, nonetheless: - They are getting even closer to the original models with each new release, specially regarding the crown and the case thicknes... 

The big question though is, will you buy one? Being a dive watch person, having small doxa subs and having been looking for gold hands it is right up my alley yet in person it felt tiny, even more so than the 58.

Special. I was also thinking about the dial finish. A raw black would have been the obvious choice imo, but you have to differentiate a bit to make 58 owners want the 54 as well ;-)

With respect to the overall strategy, Rolex is most focused on evolution (moving forward) while Tudor is focused on devolution (referring to the past). I love reissue pieces, which we will never see from Rolex. With the BB54, Tudor went to the history vau...

So many short articles written about the BB54 -- yours is best, given your appreciation for history and the comparative pictures. The 54 has really grown on me. I love my black 58 but the the size of the 54, coupled with the vintage elements and less gold... 

Haven’t gotten to see one yet, but it looks like another killer from Tudor. Hard to argue with most of their releases lately, frankly — price, performance, cool, etc… Agree with you on the bezel. Fantastic. Interested to see how good the bracelet is. ...

Since getting this one 3 months ago it hasn’t come off my wrist and I don’t remember the last time I was so in love with a watch. I agree with the majority of your review with the exception of the smiley letters on the dial, I never liked it on the older ...  

As for the big crown, I agree. It would have been uber cool to get something even closer to the 7924! ...

If I didn't already own a BB58 I would have bought it. It's an even better size.

If I would not own a BB58, I would buy the BB54! However, although it‘s basically the same watch, it is astonishing how much more vintage vibes the BB54 radiates! For me almost too much vintage! MY choice would be the BB58 with (very) slightly thinner han...  

....I'm enjoying my 54. I would actually like a bigger crown for easier adjustment,and perhaps the rose and smiley face. I agree that they should come out with a BB54 GMT in the future The bracelet with the micro-adjustment is cool! ...  

I already have it in my wish list! (Greedy Dexter!!). I specially like the size and bezel, and I only regret Tudor didn´t return to the rose emblem and "smile" inscriptions of the first Black Bay. A lollipop seconds hands, pencil handset and red inscripti...
