Rolex Submariner ref 6536/1 from 1958
Hi folks,
Here is another one from my vintage diver collection. To have a comprehensive theme I wanted to have a "small crown" and a "big crown" Submariner alongside other early divers like the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, the Breitling super Ocean, the Longines Nautilus and others...For the Big Crown I went for the more hard core version, a military Tudor Submariner ref 7924 I presented a few days ago. For the small crown, I had been looking for some time for something a bit special...First a fully original condition watch, possibly with something special on top, to have not just another Submariner. Last year I spotted this one!...a reference 6536/1 from 1958 in original worn condition...this is already rare, radium dial, original long radium hands with lollipop second hand, original bezel even with original radium pearl that turned black. The special treat then is the marbled tropical dial...and the rare 4 lines Officially Certified chronometer dial! So here it is in its rough beauty on correct rivet bracelet.

To find an example like that is almost impossible today and one may have to sell a kidney to buy it!...

In your research did you ever find the same configuration on the dial.
These were early occ with 1030 movement like in the 6538.
