yes your correct that the spring drive crowns are frosted. I am however impressed with the sub’s case polishing relative to zaratsu finished case.
Most GS crowns have a frosted finish and then a raised rim to protect that frosted finish
Both features prevent reflections like this. A lot of their "elegance collection" designs, especially non-spring drive ones, have Rolex-like crowns.

Not the first time or the worst time I have ended up with bad road burn with that activity. Often the result of someone clueless making a dumb move into my path without
looking before changing direction. After numerous similar injuries I'm now wearing leg protection. Sacrificed an old wetsuit, cut off its legs from the top of the skate boots to just below the hips. At least this one didn't get infected!
